i cant install any software using adept manager
example, i try to install vlc using adept,
error message, Could not commit changes T_T.
additional question
i want ask about Hard Disk,
1st. my hard disk cant copy,cut,even cr8 new folder
2nd any file from windows xp, i cant read it using Kubuntu

I assume that you found vlc in the list of available packages. When you attempt to install it, watch the error messages. Sometimes, it will not connect to a server which has a required file---if all dependencies are not found, then it will not install.

Also look at the log file for clues. On my system (with Synaptic) it is in root's home folder under ".synaptic" I you case--using Kubuntu--it might just be in your folder.

For the hard disk questions, please supply your configuration: what OSes are installed, how many and what type of partitions, etc. Post the output of "fdisk -l" (run as root or with sudo)
