New to Linux - Problems with boot of SUSE 9.1

Can't seem to get this to boot directly from machiene, unless I am booting from CD. How can I get this to startup directly???

procedure depend's on used boot-manager: think on suse9.1 the boot-manager "lilo" is used as default.... you can configure it by doing:

1 . create/edit the file /etc/lilo.conf
2 . execute command -> lilo (analysas the config file and writes boot_sektor)

here a example for the lilo.conf:

# GLOBAL PARAMETERS

boot = /dev/hdXX // installation on this drive
delay = 100 // delay in ms
lba32 // to get around 1024 zylinder limit

# LINUX IMAGES

image = /boot/vmlinuz // kernel-file
label = mylinux // is shown as Name in Bootmenu
root = /dev/hdXX // the root-device

there are other parameters you can use .. these are the required ones
