New to Linux, need help on uninstalling/reinstalling

Hi all,

I'm totally new to Linux and decided to take the plunge. I've installed Mandriva LE (which I bought with a linux format magazine) on a slave hard drive and all went well except connecting to the Internet which is probably down to something I missed during the install.Anyway I've decided to build a dedicated linux box out of a few spares and some donated bits n pieces and need to uninstall the LE distro and (grub)bootloader and leave the windows box intact. I need some advice on how to uninstall the LE distro, can anyone offer some advice?

Kit:

Gigabyte GA7ZE
512 ram
Athlon xp 1600
Master HD Seagate 80gb (Windows ME)
Slave HD Seagate 40gb (Mandriva Linux LE 2005)

Reinstall anything over it. Try to make at last two partitions. One for system, other for data.

Thanks for the prompt reply but could you please be a little more specific. I tried Ubuntu on the second hard drive and ended up wiping both disks clean and starting all over, I don't want to go down this road again. There must be some way of removing linux off the slave drive? I will be taking the slave drive out of the box and installing it on the new box so as to avoid this hassle in the future also I want to try different distros on the new box.

Many thanks

Removing the grub bootloader can be done with the Windows cd. Pop in the disk and boot from it, restore the MBR:MS article

The slave disk can just be formatted again (using Partition Magic or whatever tool) so windows can see and use it (format to NTFS or FAT32)
