Had you used urpmi?
I used to read posts that this solved dependicies.


It doesn't hold a candle to synaptic.

There are also ports of apt-get for mandy and red hat. Although they don't come standard as they do on debian.

if you get mandrake ide go with 9.0 instead of 9.1 cause ive seen alot more people with probs from 9.1
