okok here's the deal i have an 8mb s3 savage graphics card(no i dont want to run the game and blow up my computer) i want to run the toolset, last time i checked the toolset didnt work, will it work with this new client?
Also I am really amazed and proud on how quickly they made the linux client. Also do any of you know any modules that are not only RPG, but with equal hack-n-slash, i really love the emphasis in NWN, but crappy XP and a cap at lvl 20 really drags the game.... i shoulda got morrowind, but undrentide may change that

I don't believe the toolset works natively in linux yet. There is, apparently, a version of wine specifically modified for the toolkit. It probably works well, though I haven't touched anything NWN and won't until I get the disks from tuxgames. I will certainly be building modules, but would like to run through the game once to see what the possibilities are. . .
Check out nwn.bioware.com in their linux forum to find the links for the nwnwine. . .
I've seen that for some reason you may need to download the resources which BTW are about 1.3 GB!!, Damn! Here broad band takes another shape in perspective when you are on DSL@256 kbps! Even at that speed it'll take 12 hours to download (assuming it does OK). *sigh* I remember the days when a 33.3 kbps modem was the top, back in the days when 14.4 kbps ruled the world wide web.
Edit: The monstrous download is only if you do not have a previous Windows install... I wonder if you could just install/update with wine, then just use that directory as your linux install and extract the binaries there....

There are two reasons I'm buying the game from tuxgames; 1) It'll come with the CDs and all the data necessary to install and play the game and 2) it tells Bioware that there are people who are buying the Linux version of the game. Maybe they'll make more games if they believe they have enough of an audience. I'll register my version as Linux if I can, but at least it came directly from someone who only deals in Linux games so there can be no ambiguity about which OS my specific game was purchased for. . .
I think I'm paying about $5 (USD) for shipping, which is what I would pay here in the US. It's not fast delivery, but that's OK, I've waited a long while to play this game, and I can wait an extra couple of days.
