network - strange console messages on dmesg

im using SUSE 9.2 and i keep getting an inifinte number of these when i 'dmesg'..
i dont have any problem with getting online or using the net...just curious if this is supposed to happen..is there any way to stop it from happening..

there is no noticeable slowdown on my computer caus eof this..

and so on..................

on a similar note, my laptop has the intel 2200bg wireless lan card (mini PCI) card..and its not set up properly yet...and when i dmesg there i get some thing to do with MAC addresses ....but that slows down the laptop to a crawl..(those messages are not as verbose as this)
any suggestions on how to cure either one or both problems?

thanks in advance

It seems that you are running a firewall which is logging everthing happening along your network iface.
Are you running GuardDog? because if you are, you can switch off logging when configuring it .

u will have to look out in the config files
where u may find the the log going in "info"
and this will be logged in the /var/log/messages
