Introduction to Linux - A Hands on Guide
This guide was created as an overview of the Linux Operating System, geared toward new users as an exploration tour and getting started guide, with exercises at the end of each chapter.
For more advanced trainees it can be a desktop reference, and a collection of the base knowledge needed to proceed with system and network administration. This book contains many real life examples derived from the author's experience as a Linux system and network administrator, trainer and consultant. They hope these examples will help you to get a better understanding of the Linux system and that you feel encouraged to try out things on your own.

im using SUSE 9.2 and i keep getting an inifinte number of these when i 'dmesg'..
i dont have any problem with getting online or using the net...just curious if this is supposed to happen..is there any way to stop it from happening..
there is no noticeable slowdown on my computer caus eof this..
on a similar note, my laptop has the intel 2200bg wireless lan card (mini PCI) card..and its not set up properly yet...and when i dmesg there i get some thing to do with MAC addresses ....but that slows down the laptop to a crawl..(those messages are not as verbose as this)
any suggestions on how to cure either one or both problems?
thanks in advance
