Network setup (SecureW2 used to connect from Windows)
 

My friend owns a Gericom Hummer 30660 laptop. It uses WinXP Home to connect to the internet over a network that is provided here at students house. In order to setup network under Windows XP we HAD to download and install SecureW2 (from securew2.com/uk). After the installation Windows connected normally and all we did after that is enter automagicaly assigned addresses to a few forms so they are used every time we connect. The assigned addressed were: IP (something like 10.3.0.64, netmask (something like 255.255.0.0), default gateway (something like 10.3.0.1), and a DNS which I think was the same as the gateway. I'm saying all this out of memory so there might be errors. I was wondering how to setup his Debian to connect to the net over this same network connection that is used to connect from Windows. I will prepare a more detailed report of Windows conf if needed. Thanks for any and all help!

You will need to set up network sharing on the WindowsXP. The windows computer will need another NIC card for the Debian to hook up to, and this second windows NIC will be the gateway for the Debian computer. I don't know if XP provides port forwarding, which you would need to provide services on the Debian computer for the internet.

I forgot to mention that it is a dual boot machine. So I need a way to setup Debian to connect to network on that same machine. Thats why I posted all the IPs.
