Network projector software?

Is there a network projector software for Linux using which you can discover available projectors over the Ethernet network and connect to them?

This feature is built into Windows Vista and 7 and I believe some sort of solution exists for Linux as well.

Connecting via LAN to a Digital Projector

It is now 2016. I have just recently purchased an Epson EB-W130 and then contacted Epson Support Australia asking if they have software that will run on Linux to provide the subject support. The support agent said they didn't. They do support Windows and Apple but not Linux. Given that they support Apple and Apple is based on OpenBSD which is POSIX compliant, I'm wondering if it might be possible to adapt the software supporting the Mac to something that will work for Linux. I will enquire further with my computer scientists and if I find anything will come back here.

Another approach may also be to find a project manufacturer that does support Linux and make that widely known. That might prompt other manufacturers to provide this support for what is now millions of Linux desktops being used in the world today.
