Question Network Connection Speed Detector for Linux

I'm looking for the equivalent of NetStat Live
- a GUI program to monitor how fast your current
connection and also the CPU activity.

Are there such kind of GUI software in Linux
that I can download and press [Next, Next, Next, & Finish]
as in NetStat Live without having to resort to hours of
reading documentation and configuring the software?

cheers
Ronald

looks like you want gkrellm. in kde, right click the panel, add -> panels -> ksim. if you're not using kde, run "gkrellm" at the terminal to run it in x. right click the top and configure what stats you want it to display (cpu, which network interface, etc.).
