Question Network Card

When I try to "up" my network card (D-Link 530tx) I receive "ScioscsiFFlags:Ressource Temporary Unavailable.

Dunno what's this but I suppose I just dont have good drivers installed. (How i'm suppose to install it on linux? btw command insmod show me an error msg like "a module already have this name" or something like this. modprob appears to work but nothing really good happen. )

Anyone can help me and explain what to do?

(Give a TONS of details and consider I'm the worst newbie you ever saw... )

Thanx

Could be an IRQ conflict...

Are you using the rtl8139 module?

What do you see when you do a 'ifconfig'?

Try 'modprobe rtl8139 alias eth0' then restart your network.

No I'm using "via-rhine" modules, it suppose thbe the right one.
When I type ifconfig, I see ... huh... lot of things? I think I see what I'm suppose to see (hard to show when you can't copy/paste) but ifconfig up do not work...

If it's a IRQ conflict how can I fix it?

That error usually indicates an IRQ conflict. Turn off Plug-N-Play OS support in your BIOS, as it can interfere with the initialization of some PCI cards under Linux. Also, check my post in this thread for a few more suggestions. Sorry, I know it's not the "tons of detail" you asked for, but I should have been asleep hours ago, and detail just isn't in the brain right now.
If you know the card is working, the PNP OS switch should be the key, though.

G'night-
*snooze*
