Nero and Wine

I installed the latest the latest version of Nero and Wine. But when i try executing Nero I get this error:

"The Win-ASPI file '?.?' cannot be found, therefore
you can currently select only image recorders.

The missing file is one of the Windows 95/98/Me files.
Please fix this problem and then restart Nero.

(Error 16: No Adapters)"

The file WNASPI32.DLL is in the Nero directory though...

at risk of not saying what you want to hear... why on earth are you bothering? there are plenty of native burning programs just as capable as nero....

eroaster
arson
k3b
gnometoaster
gcombust....

As already pointed out Dave, there are loads of alternatives in Linux to Nero. Try one of those instead of wasting your time with Wine.

Kind regards,

Hermann G.

as already mentioned, it is totally pointless to be trying to do what your doing, but in any case, you may still want to waste your time, and if you do then here are some leads to a solution..

here are instructions for Nero Burning Rom 5.5.10.35
....and here are instructions for Nero Burning Rom 6.0.0.9

wow, it's also possible to get Nero running... Pointless, I know but DrOzz rules with wine, based on his posts :)
