Nero 2.0.0.3 serial number
Nero is available for linux now, do you have its serial number? Can give it to me?
|
that would be considered piracy... Why not just use K3B?
|
that's a good answer and good questioning indeed mykrob!
|
you see, in linux everything is opensource, where got Trial Version? It is ridiculous, isn't it?
If nero does not mean to let us use it free, they should not issue linux RPM of its product. you see my point? |
The trial version is supposed to make you drool and want to pay for the full version after yours runs out or whatever it does. K3b I have found is just as powerful as nero, but free.

Everything in linux is not open source, not by a long shot and I doubt that it ever will be. Nero offer a professional product, they feel a strong urge to charge money for it and they are entitled to. You should be wandering around with a big sign praising the company for even recognising linux exists rather than trying to pirate their software. They're doing a better job for linux users that 95% of their competition, give the guys a break. Your options are to either dust off that wallet of yours or go install K3B. Have a nice day. |

as mentioned by others, use k3b |
everything in Linux MUST BE FREE,
i don't agree to pay a single cent. |
If you use the gnome environment you may try out Gnomebaker, but I use gnome and still use k3b. Gnome will run most all kde applications and visa versa.

Open source does not mean free. In fact if you read the GPL you'll see that there are provision in it for charging for Open Source Software (even software you didn't write).
Open source means the source code is available for you to fix, adapt, or improve upon. And not all linux/unix software is open source. I've used software that ran in excess of $1M per seat on SunOS machines (now open source, if I understand). That was most definitely not open source. Finally, if you don't agree to pay for it, then don't use it. If a group of people choose to spend the bulk of their time to make a good product they have every right to ask for fair compensation. The kindness of one's heart just doesn't put food on one's plate. And to dudeman, M$ actually opened up the msn protocol themselves. They just asked that people not charge money for clients they write. Ask the guys at Cerulean Studios how that fight went. :) M$ is actually almost starting to get some things close to right. PM me if you're wondering how. |
I have to be a contributing member to pm you (broke college student here, lol). E-mail me at marcusdean.adams@gmail.com, I'm always willing to learn new things.

Proclaiming that you should never or won't ever pay for software just makes you look stupid IMO. OpenSource would probably never survive or be as popular if they didn't make any money from it by providing support, cd's and other materials like books, documentation, manuals, etc. Even if the developers of OpenSource never sold or asked for money for their applications, OS's or software code, people donate to help support and keep the projects abroad. Perhaps you should rethink your idealogy behind Linux and OpenSource software. Your attitude in regards that you should never have to pay a cent is disgusting. It's people like you that demand everything but won't give anything back. You should support the software you use in some way or another since you can get it for free, instead of expecting that you should never have to pay for it. Perhaps you need to read this page about the philosophy FSF and GNU thinks about selling software, that's OpenSource: http://www.gnu.org/philosophy/selling.html And when your done reading that, you then need to read the rest: http://www.gnu.org/philosophy/ Since you proven that you know nothing about OpenSource software and it's true meaning. PS. I've also reported this post to be closed. Asking for serial numbers for software that your suppose to pay for is against the law, it's called piracy and LQ.org will play no part in that whatsoever. Read the rules you agreed to when registering which states this rule and prohibits threads like these from existing: http://www.linuxquestions.org/rules.php |
