neomail question
 

Hey all,

I want to install NeoMail 1.29 on a FC 5 system (redhat) for use as a web-accessible email portal.

Question. Down in the configuration file, it asks which MTA I want to use, and gives me my choice of sendmail or exim. Well, I've heard a lot of bad things about sendmail and I've never even heard of exim.

I've actually installed Postfix and am currently using it with the Mutt MUA at the command line. Now that I'm ready to move to a web portal instead of the command line, can I keep using Postfix as my MTA? And if so, how do I get NeoMail to understand that? I thought about changing the MTA line such that:

$sendmail = '/usr/bin/postfix';

as it does allow you to specify exim here instead of sendmail, according to the documentation comments in the config file.

Has anyone attempted this, and if so, what was your experience?
