Need web based terminal services
I'm using Red Hat 9 as a telnet server to connect users to a terminal session that then allows them to configure routers and switches through the console port.
This works quite well inside my classroom, but I'm currently attempting to teach at another business. They have no local control of their firewall, and it's going to take a committee and too much time to get port 23 opened to talk to my telnet server.
What I want to do is have the users connect to the Red Hat box using their browser and port 80. When they hit the page, I want to feed them a standard terminal session inside that page. I don't need graphics, just the text-based session. They would then log on and start up minicom on the RH box which would connect them to their machines.
VNC would be more than I would need. They don't need a graphical session, just a pure terminal connection. How would I accomplish this feat?
