Question Need to convert MP3s to OGG Vorbis files

HI GUYS,

I need to convert my MP3 music files to the OGG Vorbis format.
Are there any packages available for this?
Can XMMS play OGG Vorbis, i think it does....., but still just want to confirm??

Please Help!!!

Try mp32ogg. XMMS can play ogg files.

Yes xmms will play .ogg files, you should do a web search for the file oggre-0.3.tar.bz2 it as an output plugin for XMMS that will convert the files to .ogg. You need to compile it so you will need the xmms-dev files at the least installed for your distro or you may want to search your packages and see if it is already packaged.
