Question Need to add fonts to acroread

Hi I need to find out how acroread handle fonts. The situation is like this:

I got a pdf file from my lecturer, it was created in windows and is in Japanese language. When I tried to open it in acroread, I got this error:

Quote:
Unable to find or create the font 'MS-Mincho'. Some characters may not display or print correctly.
I have asian fonts pack of acroread installed, and I can view pdf files in japanese which I created with Open Office. I copied the msgothic.ttc and msmincho.ttc from MS WIndows and placed them under a directory which I stated in /etc/X11R6/xorg.conf. I ran fc-cache and the fonts are detected. I ran /usr/X11R6/bin/mkfontscale and mkfontdir and restarted X. But I still cannot read the file.

Does anyone know how I can correct this problem?

Thanks in advance.
