need the screensaver command for my .xinitrc

Hi

Since I started using WindowMaker, I haven't been using the xscreensavers that came with Redhat. I know on my *BSD boxes I would just need to add "xscreensaver --no-splash" to the .xinitrc, but my RH9 box doesn't recognize the xscreensaver command. There's also some XActivateScreenSaver man pages, but they don't seem to help me out.

Anyone know the command to activate the xscreensaver in RH9?

Thanks,

Dave

Perhaps you need to give the full path to the xscreensaver or make a symbolic link in /bin that points to it.

My file:
Code:
# Duron 950 box "uilleann" user fancy .xinitrc file
# Start the stuff I want to run when I startx

# The artwiz-fonts sometimes conflict with your locale settings. To get
# them to work you may have to put the following at the beginning of your
# .xinitrc file
# export LC=C
# export LC_ALL=C

# Set the background for fluxbox
# Esetroot ~/backgrounds/linux.png &

# Start gkrellm and put it in the slit
gkrellm -w &

# This will run a screensaver as your background
# /usr/X11R6/lib/xscreensaver/hopalong -root &

# Start the screensaver daemon
xscreensaver --no-splash &

# Finally, I start my window manager
exec fluxbox
# exec kde
# exec gnome-session

My bad...wasn't installed after all. I could have sworn it had been installed, but apparently it wasn't.

Thanks for the reply.
