I am a sysadmin at a small non-profit org and we are planning on upgrading to an active directory within the next couple of months. We would like to use linux for our new fileserver, so I would like to know how this would need to be set up. I am assuming that the fileserver should be running samba, but I want to know how I am going to get this thing running so that our users will be able to log onto the network with ONE signon and be able to access there shares on the linux file server. I dont necessarily need every step laid out(although that would be nice), but I just need a roadmap of the softwares and services I should configure for this kind of setup. I've heard something about kerberos, but not sure how that would fit into an active directory. Thanks.

I think you might be able to use kerberos/ldap/samba for the serverside and have microsoft clients.
