Need suggestions on best groupware
I'd like people to post their opinions on the different web-based groupware software available for linux. Looking for a very good solution for a small nonprofit org.
Thanks for you suggestions |
Could you post what your requirements are? Otherwise we're just shooting in the dark.

Sure, here are the requirements.
Shared calendaring and appointments. Ability to view all calendars and appointments (non-private, of course). POP3 & IMAP e-mail support Easy to use interface for the basic users A perk would be the ability to see who's logged in when you are. A shared message/news board for announcements. thats pretty much it I think. I've already seen eGroupWare and moregroupware, but looking for others to try and compare. Thanks, |
Well Stalker Communigate Pro is always a popular choice in this category. Although offhand I don't remeber if it has the "news board" feature. And the pricing is pretty reasonable.

I tried phpGroupware a bit ago and went away largely unimpressed. I yanked it off my machine completely when the Lupper worm started making the rounds, though the probably the vulnerability fixed by now.
