MainActor (Commercial and they have stopped all support, you will have to dowload this via a torrent or something)

Cinelerra (horrible interface)

You can also try Kdenlive (http://www.kdenlive.org).

also Kino. btw Dynebolic has all these ready to go (and also loads some module called dv1394 i think during booting, for firewire), so it should be very good for your use.
