need of monitoring tool


Hi All,

I have a task to monitoring the virtual interfaces in my linux machine.So am in need of monitoring tool to monitor the virtual interface(eth0,eth0:1, ....etc,).Can any one help me in this.

Hi,
Not netstat, tool like MRTG,Ntop....etc,
To monitor the virtual interface (eth0,eth0:1,......,etc.)

Sorry, I was under the impression that netstat did that.

how about "collectl -sN"
with the right switches (or if you just /etc/init.d/collectl start) it will log to a file and you can play back between any two time frames. you never did saw WHY you wanted to do this.

Hi,

A collectl is a tool?
I want monitor my virtual IP's for that only i need that tool
