Your distribution would be a help. I'm assuming your using Red Hat. Dag and Livna are the only ones I know of.

Yes, but it says he is running Red Hat 9, so he might not be using apt, but apt4rpm. So if thats true, then those repos won't work for him.

Deb does not work..also my error messages

thats true 'linux-rulz',

the deb thing does not work for me.
all the repos in my apt source.list are rpms.

I have tried the Dag and Livna but once downloaded it gives me an error with the GPG key.
I tried the import command for the GPG key at those sites but still does not work.

Any other thoughts or inputs?

I m including the error messages I get after I download the mplayer install...

Download the files directly from the respective repos web pages and then install them using the rpm command.

Try issueing this command as root and then installing through yum (this is for Dag).

rpm --import http://dag.wieers.com/packages/RPM-GPG-KEY.dag.txt
