We will need more info. (dual boot?) (hd info and number of) (What happens before error message?)(Distro?)

From the GRUB manual**:
Quote:
22 : No such partition
This error is returned if a partition is requested in the device part of a device- or full file name which isn't on the selected disk.
Usually means an error in the config file (menu.lst) It's trying to find a partition that does not exist.
