My disk has only one partition and 8 mb of unused space. I needed to partition the disk, (i use windows xp) but since i didn't have much unused space, i tried programs to partition my disk. Ranish the partition manager didn't work right (i dont know why) and most freeware partitioners needed a secondary partition to split the first partition. Can u give me links to good "free" partitioners?

QTParted is the best partitioner I've ever used, even moreso than partition magic, whcih comes close (and that's a commercial product). Of course, I do believe it only runs under Linux, but you may want to do some research to confirm this.
