need help installing wxPython, can't see errors on the screen

I'm trying to install wxPython and when I try to build it I just get all kinds of errors that fill up the framebuffer not allowing me to trace back the problem. I see no where that it keeps a log of the build output. I also can't redirect the output to a text file as that only works for the first file compiled. What can I do here?

Come on, anyone? You can't tell me no one on here knows how to view the output of the compile process.
