Unhappy need help installing linksys driver for my wireless adapter


Ok, ive got a driver for my wusb1.1 wireless-G network adapter. now, bare with me folks! im running xandros distro (dual boot with xp) I have the driver sitting in a file on xp. Here is my question: How do i get the driver from its current location to xandros and installed? Im use to just popping a disk in cd bay and BAM...! there it is! I guess I could burn it to a cd to at least transfer it but dont know where to go from there. can somone please explain?
In simple terms please, Im new to linux and am not familiar with environment yet. THANX!

What filesystem is your Windows drive in? You should be able to mount either the FAT32 or NTFS drive onto your Linux system whilst it's running. This would let you easily copy the driver across and install it. Have a read through the forums for how to do this, depending on your filesystem.

Also, what wrapper are you using for your wireless card - ndiswrapper, madwifi, etc.?

well, I dont know about any wrapper or even how to use it! and as for mounting, 'My computer' in xp doesnt even show a drive with xandros! the driver is just in a folder in 'My Documents'. Obveously, Im still trying to learn my way around linux. I know, I shouldnt mess around before doing some reading, but im this close and just want to get the damn driver installed so i can get on with my other life! Is it possible to just burn it to disk, reboot into xandros and pull driver from disk and install? if so, could you explain? Thanx! Scott
