Smile Need help Firefox and Bittornado

Hello, first post here.
I have Slackware 10.2 installed(without installing mozilla suite nor firefox) and i compiled kernel 2.6.13.4. Now I have installed Firefox 1.5 and took my bookmarks and signons from my XP Firefox and everything runs great (I have all my bookmarks and passwords saved and working) except for LQ, if i'm idle after a certain time I need to log back in, same if I close/reopen Firefox, it's like I'm not remembered and have to write my login/pass everytime(wich is the main reason I'm using Firefox) so that sucks and I would really appreciate the help.

My other problem is I'm trying to get Bittornado to work. I installed python 2.4 and the new wxPython 2.6.1.0 and then installed Bittornado successfully(no errors). Now in the INSTALL-Unix.txt it says :

put a line in /etc/mailcap which is similar to the
following, only replace the path to
/usr/bin/btdownloadgui.py with the one it's actually in.

application/x-bittorrent; /usr/bin/btdownloadgui.py %s; test=test -n "$DISPLAY"

You may have to restart your web browser for it to start
using BitTorrent.

If you're using a web browser which doesn't respect
/etc/mailcap you can go into the mimetype configuration for
your web browser and manually associate application/x-bittorrent
with btdownloadgui.py (with the appropriate path, of course.)

end of txt

I don't have a file /etc/mailcap and I tried using open with btdownloadgui.py in firefox but nothing happens... no error it just closes and im there expecting a gui opening but no. So I downloaded the .torrent file and opened it in a terminal with btdownloadheadless and it seems to work but I want it in a gui...

Please help me out, sorry for the long post but I'm trying to be a good n00b and put as much info possible!

Okay, it's finally working for BitTornado... I installed wxGTK and wxPython from Linuxpackages.net and it works!

Now I still have the firefox problem though and would really appreciate the help still!

Well finally it's all good, I figured that I didn't have the permissions and my bookmarks/cache was not updating...
