Need a X Windows client

I'm using FC1 and would like to run x windows to another machine (Solaris). Doing a search here on "x windows clients" provides many suggestions on how to do this if you have a Microsoft machine doing X to a Linux box. But I'm not sure how to do thing between two Linux machines (or in my case, Linux to UNIX). Ideas?

X will need to be running on the client for this to work (or has been my experience thus far)
i use ssh to forward X

ssh -l FC1username -X FC1-name-or-IP

i use kde so once ssh'd in
startkde

and then kde from the FC1 is forwarded via ssh and loads on the client machine
