Need a program for sHi Im lookiyncing a Motorola Q9c with Ubuntu 8.04 by blue tooth

Hi

Im looking for a Personal Information Manager that will sync my new cell phone with Ubuntu
8.04. My phone is a Motorola Q9c. Which runs Windows Mobile 6.1. I want to use blue tooth
to sync the contact list, music etc.

I have installed several blue tooth items using Synaptic Package Manager and I can see my phones Micro SD card and the data on it. I am able to send files back and forth from my laptop
to the phone and back by blue tooth. I can not however see my contacts or anything on the phone itself.

I have tried Evolution, BitPim, and MultiSync with no luck.
There is Blue Tooth file sharing, Blue Tooth Proximity, and several other utilities for Blue Tooth installed, and that part seems to work. I think Im missing the program that does the actual syncing.

So any thoughts on this would be very much appreciated.

Thanks in advance, and have a Merry Christmas

Vanessa

Hi Vanessa,

Typically the syncing software will be provided by the phone manufacturer, but as is that will be for Windows for most of the cases.

Anyways you can try these probably, although I haven't personally tried these to sync with my motos, you should find them comfortably in the repo.

1)xgnokii
2)wammu
3)moto4lin
4)kmobiletools
5)gnome-phone-manager
6)gammu

Also, did you ask or tried searching for such thing on the Motorola Developer forum? Worth a shot http://developer.motorola.com/

Thanks for the quick response Hitboxx

I tried all the programs you listed and sadly no joy was found.
Im currently looking at the motorola forums to see if there is
anything there.

Thanks again
Vanessa
