ndiswrapper questions

I am trying to install ndiswrapper version 1.2 on Mandriva 10.1 official. My kernel version is 2.6.8.

When I go to the ndiswrapper source directory and do a "make", I get errors.
Here is what happens

make -C driver
make [1]: Entering directory `/home/user/Desktop/ndiswrapper-1.2/driver'
make -C /lib/modules/2.6.8.1-12mdk/build SUBDIRS=/home/user/Desktop/ndiswrapper-1.2/driver \
NDISWRAPPER_VERSION=1.2 \
EXTRA_VERSION= modules
make [2]: Entering directory '/usr/src/linux-2.4.27-0.pre2.1mdk'
make -C /home/user/Desktop/ndiswrapper-1.2/driver CFLAGS="-D__KERNEL__ -I/usr/src/linux-2.4.27-0.pre2.1mdk/include -Wall -Wsrtict-prototypes -Wno-trigraphs -02 -fno-strict-aliasing -fno-common -pipe -mpreferred-stack-boundary=2 -march=i586
-DMODULE -DMODVERSIONS -include /usr/src/linux-2.4.27-0.pre2.1mdk/include/Linux/modversions.h" MAKING_MODULES=1 modules
make[3]: Entering directory `/home/user/Desktop/ndiswrapper-1.2/driver'
make[3]: ***No rule to make target `modules'. Stop.
make[3]: Leaving directory `/home/user/Desktop/ndiswrapper-1.2/driver'
make[2]: *** [_mod_/home/user/Desktop/ndiawrapper-1.2/driver] Error 2
make[2]: Leaving directory `/usr/src/linux-2.4.27-0.pre2.1mdk'
make[1]: *** [default] Error 2
make[1]: Leaving directory `/home/user/Desktop/ndiswrapper-1.2/driver'
make: *** [all] Error 2

I have no idea what any of this means...All I see is errors.
Can someone please help me?

Do you have the kernel sources installed? It might be required to have them installed.
