Ndiswrapper: driver installed, device present but enp5s0 no wireless extension

Hi everyone

Tried to install a driver for my Netgear A6200 following https://help.ubuntu.com/community/Wi...er/Ndiswrapper.

from ndiswrapper -l I get:

Quote:
bcmwlhigh6 : driver installed
device (0846:9050) present
but after following the step 3.7:

Quote:
sudo depmod -a
sudo modprobe ndiswrapper
I get with iwconfig:

Quote:
lo no wireless extensions.

enp5s0 no wireless extensions.
The driver I used is the one which the windows-part of the system uses. Does somebody have an idea how to fix this?

Thanks a lot in advance

Have you checked the Ndiswrapper wiki?

I fear I could not find a reference to your card there, but I might have missed it.

You can get a USB network adapter guaranteed to work with Linux at reasonable price from ThinkPenguin.

Full Disclosure: My only connection with ThinkPenguin is as a satisfied customer.
