Nautilus Terminal Emulator

The other day I was at a friends house and saw the terminal emulation mode in konqueror while you are browsing files on your hard drive. It seemed really useful. As a result I have downloaded konqueror, but I don't really like the look of the program. Is there any way to do a terminal emulation mode in nautilus? Or at least a way to input a single command line command into it while you are browsing files? Can nautilus even have plug ins?

There is this package, which should also be available for Mandriva somewhere...
http://manny.cluecoder.org/packages/...open-terminal/
...the new version...
it adds an entry to the context-menu you get with right-click, to open a terminal where you are at the moment - the desktop included.

Thanks for you help jomen, that is what I was looking for. Are there many other add on extensions for nautilus available?

...like what? What "extensions" do you mean?
You can customize the actions you want nautilus to take on each filetype - they are pre-configured and changable if you don't like them - in fact, even the context-menu lists all available choices for a given file.

Well I just figured there may be more addons, like open-terminal, that add very useful functionality to nautilus that I otherwise never would never have thought of. In any case, thanks a lot for your help jomen.

Anytime... - I thought that you had some things in mind...sometimes one (me in this case) gets used to how things work and does not even think of ways to further improve the current situation - that's why I asked - to get ideas...
