Native Open Source Groupware built-in to distribution

I'm anxiously awaiting a Linux Distribution to be released that has native Groupware functionality. An easy install and Groupware functionality working right after install, without tweaking or editing config files is imperative. With all the Groupware software on Freshmeat and Sourceforge, we can't be too far away from such a distribution.

I already have reviewed SUSE OpenExchange Server, but that costs too much.

Anyone have any knowledge of a Groupware solution that compete's head to head with Microsoft Exchange that comes bundled with a Linux Distribution and works immediately after OS install?

OpenGroupware.org seems to compete against Microsoft Exchange and Novell/SUSE OpenExchange Server. At least, they're striving to compete.

As for working immediately after an OS install, OpenGroupware has something even better: an OpenGroupware LiveCD based on Knoppix. I haven't downloaded it, but you should be able to test this software simply by booting the CD.

You should try it; you only have the cost of bandwidth and a blank CD-R to lose. Please post your impressions of it.

Thumbs up Nice But....

It is nice but I'd like to make Ogo put the data files on the hdd instead of memory or where ever it is putting them... It needs to be able to survive a reboot.

Anyone have anyideas?
