I have download and intalled bind on my system.
now the time is to configure it.
I want to configure it in such a way that all my application instead of using my isp domain name server should use my local name server and I want my local name server to keep itself updated by quering from my isp name server.
I have read man pages but I can't get that which option and in which file I have to make changes. so please provide me some configuration syntax.

You didn't mention that.

Basically what you need to do on the clients is
to edit /etc/resolv.conf and give the IP of your
local DNS server instead of your ISPs.

To understand how to set-up the server read
the HOWTO (again?) and if you have a particular
PROBLEM come back and ask. We're not here
to do the setup for you in a walk-through manner.

http://www.tldp.org/HOWTO/DNS-HOWTO-5.html#ss5.6
should be of PARTICULAR interest...

Cheers,
Tink
