I run MythTV 0.20 on my Debian Sid box. It has worked fine since I installed it.

I recently installed the update to mysql-server-5.0 using apt-get, and since applying this update, the time in the MythTV program guide is off by 2 hours. For example, the 6pm news is listed at 8pm. This obviously means that programs that I have set to record are recorded 2 hours late (ie I miss them).

I have tried adjusting the Timezone offset in mythtv-setup, but this makes no difference.

Does any one have any ideas what the problem is, and how I can fix it?

i'll recommend you to post your question to the mythTV-users mailing list. The people there helped me a lot with my problems. You'll find it here:

Check if you set your computer timezone correctly. Also check tv guide account that mythtv uses to download. Make sure computer's clock is correct because sometimes it can go back or forward faster than expected. Use ntpd to help fix any timing issues. Make sure system time is set as local not set as UTC. Checking or replacing the computer's CMOS battery can help.

It turns out that it was a timezone problem.

I was getting my TV guide data from a company based on the other side of Australia (2 hours time difference). For some reason, it wasn't being adjusted for the different time zone correctly. I think perhaps it was being adjusted, and then MythTV was adjusting it back.

I changed to a community based TV Guide (oztivo.net), and the problem has solved itself.
