MySQL errors when starting up MythTV

I'm trying to run MythTV (the latest version) on my Ubuntu box (Dapper Drake 6.06). I installed mythtv via "apt-get install mythtv" command and it installed and *seems* to have set up the necessary user and schema in MySQL, but when I go to run it, it gives me mysql error 1045 access denied errors in the term window and mythtv launchs but gives me the "MythTV could not connect to the databse. Please verify your database...". I checked the MySQL setup and I see the "mythtvconverg" DB and the "mythtv" user in mysql/users table.

What is wrong here? How do I get MythTV up and running???

TIA

nevermind, got it working.

apparently the password was not set correctly. i simply changed the password to 'mythtv' using <password('mythtv')> in mysql
