mysql 5 installation


hi all
i have mysql 3 in my pc and now i need mysql 5.it seems that i have to uninstall mysql 3.can i use this command?

rpm -e --nodeps mysql3

or i have to unistall all of it's dependencies?
will be any problem if i uninstall dependend file?
plz help me

Its better to remove all mysql 3 packages befre installing mysql 5. Uing the --nodeps flag will leave you with broken mysql 3 packages.

and anoher question.Will be any problem with mysql5 ,php or appache if i remove all these package?
