MySQL

Hi,

For some reason of which I do not know I can not connect to mysql database. Here is the message it returns me when I try to go to
http://mylocalhost/admin.php

"Fatal error: Call to undefined function: message_die() in /usr/local/apache2/htdocs/db/db.php on line 88"

That directly refers to this in the db.php file:

"message_die(CRITICAL_ERROR, "Could not connect to the database");"

anyone know what im doing wrong here?

Apache 2.0 installed and working correctly.
PHP-Nuke 6.9 installed
MySQL 4.0.13 installed and appears to be working fine.
Here is the output after I launch mysqld

"mysqld: ready for connections.
Version: '4.0.13-log' socket: '/var/run/mysqld/mysqld.sock' port: 3306"

let me know your ideas thanks

message_die is a user-defined function...
maybe you are missing some includes ? or you are calling an script directly that only is a library...

try the built-in php die function

edit line 88 in the db.php file, replacing message_die(..... with

die("Could not connect to the database: ".mysql_error())
