My toolbar is gone, I cannot print to a remote printer, and lose my OpenOffice??
Hello, I am new to Linux. I recently installed OpenOffice on my RedHat 7.2 Linux system (using a GNOME desktop environment). It's been installed ok and works for a while, but once I reboot the system, I try to get into OpenOffice and it looks like it is coming up and then just disappears. I have tried repairing/reinstalling but to no avail.
Also, I have trouble printing to a remote printer. I have the correct information in my computer for the remote printer's IP and printer queue name. I still can't print. And also when checking the queue (lpq) on the computer with the attached printer, there are no jobs in waiting. What could be the problem?
And finally, I have suddenly lost my toolbar (all of it!). I don't have the GNOME foot or the icon for the terminal emulator, there's nothing. Is there a command to get it back somehow or a way to do it through the GUI?
Does anyone out there has any solutions to any of my problems? I will appreciate any feedback to this. Thank you.
