Talking my time is wrong~~!


hello~

i'm using red hat 7.3 and ntp to syn my clock.

however, the time gets slower every minute, approximately 1 sec in every minute.... very weird..

what am i doing wrong? i check pretty much every thing (cmos, ntp setup and etc.) even phone the manufactuer of the main board that i'm using.

can anyone help me with this?

Depending on how old you board is (and this rarely happens), the oscillator for your system clock could be going bad (this is the thing that "vibrates" at a certain frequency, allowing a device to keep time). If that's true, you may have to replace the motherboard.

maybe your other clocks are fast

or maybe they've conspired against you
