You say that you're not bold enough to install using expert mode. Honestely, there's nothing to it. There's a little box at the bottom that tells you everything that's going on, and everything that you need to know about it. The partitioning bit is a complete doddle. When you get to DiskDrake, all you need is one partition (RED) mounted on /.
As for the errors, it's trying to load a kernel module ('driver') for a couple of scsi interfaces, and can't find the devices. If you install with Expert mode, you can say 'No, I don't have any SCSI interfaces', or if you do, you can select which.
I really would advocate the use of Expert mode. Just make sure you read everything first. You'll be surprised at how easy it is.
