My mp3 collection is backed up to many cd's. I have 3 cd's that have errors on read.

Basically, I'm getting checksum errors on several files, and I can't recover from original source anymore. Is there a good GUI based program out there that could help recover these files? I'm using Mint, and I also know how to download/compile if I need to. I know there is at least one such under Windows called CDCheck, but does anyone know of a Linux equivalent?

Hi, I have had some success with photorec (recover)

http://www.cgsecurity.org/wiki/PhotoRec

PhotoRec how-to...

You can get the download page here...

http://www.cgsecurity.org/wiki/TestDisk_Download

you can find a user guide for testdisk here (most of the photorec links are broken in this page)...
