Unhappy my linux kernel has run out of memory!!!


Hi,
My linux kernel has run out of memory .. what could be the reason ?? .. Is there any command to check the availability of kernel space ?? please help!!!!

Use the 'top' command to see what's eating your memory.

Also use the free command to see how much memory is used and free. Also looking at the meminfo and slabinfo files in /proc should help you identify memory hogs.

I have seen the slabinfo file .. but what does each coloum represent??
