Music and Video Editing

Hello everyone, I was wondering if there's any fairly stable music and/or video editing software out for linux right now. I was hoping to find some free software for linux and I was just wondering if anyone knew of anything. Thank you for your time.

Avidemux is my favorite video editor. It also makes a great transcoder.

Audacity ( http://audacity.sourceforge.net/ ) was enough for my needs, but rosegarden ( http://www.rosegardenmusic.com/ ) and ardour ( http://ardour.org/ ) looked like more complex audio tools.
