Introduction to Linux - A Hands on Guide
This guide was created as an overview of the Linux Operating System, geared toward new users as an exploration tour and getting started guide, with exercises at the end of each chapter.
For more advanced trainees it can be a desktop reference, and a collection of the base knowledge needed to proceed with system and network administration. This book contains many real life examples derived from the author's experience as a Linux system and network administrator, trainer and consultant. They hope these examples will help you to get a better understanding of the Linux system and that you feel encouraged to try out things on your own.

Oh, where do I start. Okay, I'm in suse 7.2. Box is a hp xe783 700 / 383ram with a cd-writer plus that calls itself a Mitsumi cr-4804TE. I'm confused in the concepts of multisession cds. I use xcdroast version 0.98alpha7/cdrecord ?. It seems, note, seems, that I can only burn one session (cdr or cdrw). I burn other seesions, it is just that these other sessions arn't being seen, it seems. I did a google search, and came up with a suse website page that said it could be the atapi cd drive, they don't recongnize anything past the first session, true? At the page, I also came accross a possible cure with a xmcd driver (what? where?). In all, what is the skinny about multisession cds in suse/linux. Also, (sorry), the first burn isn't seen unless I fixate the disc. Then only the first session is seen. Oh, confused. If it worked right, Am I supposed to see all the sessions even if it isn't fixated. Then, fixate and still see what I saw before I fixated? As now, if I don't fixate the cd, when I click the besktop icon, I get a directory error. The I fixate, I get only first session. Oh, I'm about to explode- hehe help...
