Question multiple email attachments

I'm trying to use a script to send multiple file attachments using mail. It works to send a single file using the following:

uuencode /home/me/file.pdf file.pdf | mail -s "PDF" me@me.com

I can't find a way through a script to attach multiple files to a single e-mail. Any help would be greatly appreciated.
