Multihead Help

I'm Runnin Suse 8.2 on a Toshiba 5005-s507. I have a GeForce 440 Go! 32MB DDR card.

Yesterday, I set about to setting up a multihead system, using the LCD screen (1600x1200 resolution) and the VGA out, (1280x1024 CRT). I managed to get both screens on at the same time by doing things that never should of worked.. but I would really like to fix one thing.

I have KDE 3.1.3 configured with 2 desktops, 1 and 2. With 2 monitors, I expected Desktop 1 to be the Laptop LCD, and Desktop 2 to be the CRT beside the laptop. However, instead, I find I have 2 Double Wide Desktops, with Desktop 1 stretched over both screens. Anyone know how to fix this?

Thanks

I don't think you can unless the video card _explicitly_ says it's capable of this. Dual-head setups require multiple video cards or cards with multiple discreet outputs. Your video out on your notebook is just an auxiliary output.

Well the other thread is not going to help me at all. As I have Suse, and I wont be able to use any configuration tools other than suse's own configs.
And obviously I can, since I already have dual head running. I just want my dualhead to be seperate as 1600x1200 and 1280x1024 desktops, rather than the auto config of one 2880x1024 desktop
