multi-protocol downloader for linux?
 
Hi, currently working in ubuntu
in windows used nettransport 2 downloader all the time
is there a similar option in linux???- bummed that downloader for x only uses http/ftp :(

Supported in Net Transport:

* HTTP / HTTPS
* FTP / through SSL (Secure Sockets Layer) / SFTP (SSH File Transfer Protocol)
* MMS (Microsoft Media Services)
* RTSP (Real-Time Streaming Protocol)
* PNM (rename PNM to RTSP)

wget will take care of http: https: and ftp:
mplayer will dump its stream to file for mms: rtsp: and pnm:
mencoder will change file formats.
