MUAs

This is a simple question but i cannot find the answer anywhere.

I would like to know which MUAs require a seperate MTA service running on the computer to send and which don't, or do all MUAs already provide that function like Outlook and Thunderbird?

Thx

Mail user agents perform the sending of user's email to an MTA, and the receiving of email from a user's mail store. Most MUAs require a separate MTA (i.e., they don't do it themselves). Outlook and Thunderbird are not MTAs nor do they contain MTA functionality. They are MUAs.

The list of all MUAs is large, and not worthwhile to enumerate here .
