mtrr Alignment Messages

Hello all,

I have recently installed Fedora Core 2 (Kernel 2.6.5-1.358) on the following hardware:

D845GVSR Intel Motherboard
2.0 GHz Celeron Processor
1GB DDR266 RAM (512x2)
Integrated Video ("Intel Extreme Graphics") (i845)

Everything has been recognized during install fine and is functioning okay; to the best of my knowledge. However, I am continually receiving errors to my console as follows:

mtrr: base(0xf0020000) is not aligned on a size(0x800000) boundary

I read /usr/src/linux-2.6.5-1.358/Documentation/mtrr.txt and, from what I can gather, this has something to do with the memory registers. It most likely relates to the integrated video as that would be sharing the main memory.

Does anyone know how to "fix" this? Or what exactly is wrong? Do I need to find the linear framebuffer address of my graphics 'card' and add this to /proc/mtrr?

The /proc/mtrr on this machine is as follows:

[ter@onyx Documentation]$ cat /proc/mtrr
reg00: base=0x00000000 ( 0MB), size=1024MB: write-back, count=1
reg01: base=0x3ff00000 (1023MB), size= 1MB: uncachable, count=1
reg02: base=0xf0000000 (3840MB), size= 128MB: write-combining, count=2

Any help would be appreciated; this is boggling me quite a bit and marring an otherwise, great install.

Thanks much,
Tom

and all I can think of is mtrr may not be enabled in your kernel.............

Well if mtrr support was not available there would be nothing in /proc/mtrr.

Need to see the output of the lscpi -v, in particular the video card section.
